sent my jet speeds off to JR and got Lightspeed holders put on them. They look great. Love the Jetspeed boot but felt off balance with the ccm holder. Skated many years in Bauer skates, which is probably the reason, but I just could not adjust. Hoping this helps Thanks JR

I want to trade out the holders for Tuuk light speed. My current skate is a size 7.5 EE. the holder size on SB 4.0 is 271. To keep from having to drill new holes what size tuuk holder would you use? 272? I don't see bauer offering a 271 size holder

Thanks for the clarification

in the last picture the carbon fiber looks cracked or broken from the baking, is it?

At almost $1000.00 dollars for the top skate, will be curious to see how many are sold. I think we have reached the limit on how much one can charge for skates.

how does the curve compare to the easton E3?
-
so if I read the chart correctly no E4 curve except on HTX and CX ? Easton doing away with the E4 curve?

My error thought he was saying all the easton sticks played like th ST

JGraz - All of them. Top end thru entry level.
As a long time user of Easton sticks, nothing could be farther from the truth in my opinion. Easton has been sticks lighter, less durable and made to stick flex so whippy that it is almost unusable. I would love to see them return so of the older models of sticks to production

What if anything will be close to the older ST's stick (2009).?

Just curious, for those who know why did easton go back to making this years sticks (v9 & v9e) in china? Last year the mako II was made in mexico

after reading this and other threads I am still a little confused. What is the difference between the step steel for Lightspeed II and the step steel XL for lightspeed II? looking for new blades for a pair of X60's

I recently had my skates sharpened with the v- cut. Seem to like the sharpening. I was told that every time you go from a v- cut the old way of sharpening the skates must be cross cut/grind first in order to properly sharpen them. Is this true?

I have question on the v-cut. My son tried the v-cut. In our area we have only 1 rink with the v-cut. Changing back and forth from v-cut to the old way of sharpening, what does that do to the blade? Does it need to be specially addressed when going from v-cut back to the old way of sharpening? Any other concerns I should be aware of? Thanks for the help

I have no wishes that my kid makes it to the "show". If when he is an adult if he still has a sport he likes and can play with his kids then I will be happy. What is the proper hollow for a 65lb squirt?. The only reason I asked about profiling is that this board provides a lot of great information, that I never knew about. profiling was mentioned on the board

Does it come in a p14 pattern? CCM website does not list it, but some online retailers have it listed
