Yes, it was increased.

Wearing long everything keeps your equipment cleaner as there's no direct skin contact.
-
Or just wear long pants underneath.

Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread

Yes and no. There are different grits to wheels; the most common is 80 grit. When all the same grit, it's moreso defined by the friability of the wheel; the higher that is, the "softer" the wheel is. That is controlled by what they add to the wheel, like chromium and aluminum oxide. -

Yep, that's how I have mine. The moisture of a humid Florida garage was getting to screws so I got the case and keep it covered in the meantime. Pink does better on figure/goal steel, orange and ruby on stainless. I prefer ruby. -

You can make/buy one much cheaper than $150. -
Yep...they have every flavor except Old Bay, even in the big bags. I wrote them and complained.
-
We can get them now that Wawa is in town; plenty of Tastykakes and Herr's chips.
-
I agree. I mean, I can't remember the last time I had a Hostess product. That and every supermarket (and even convenience stores) have fresh baked items now, there's no need to buy a processed snack.

Congrats! #6? LOL

I just finished another session with the BlackSteel - I honed it with a leather block. After I skated, they felt even more sharp than before. It's because when you sharpen it, it doesn't leave as much of a burr as do regular skates.
-
Just ordered two sets of Step steel for a MSHer - the hook fin on the Lightspeed steel is now serrated.
-
It's their version of a DLC blade, yes.

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php?/topic/62064-step-blacksteel/ Along with video of first sharpening; any questions re: LTR ask in here; comments won't be posted to the review.

Spoke to Guillaume - the BlackSteel will be coming out soon; Gold will be on hold for the foreseeable future.

So yeah, that's that. I suppose I'll have to lift the ban on the leaked picture. It is a weird spot to be in, but what can we do? I have the ok to correct any questions on the APX2 and Edge holder... That is the Mako. Final graphic package.
-
We met with them today. Thoughts are on the front page. Orange is the accent color (like yellow on RS) for Mako.
-
Or on MSH. Once again, just because you're venting doesn't give you carte blanche to use profanity in this thread.
-
Bauer/Tuuk also had a Titanium blade as well.

Every skate has a fit profile. The MLX skate fit a specific foot type, just like every other skate out there. You can't increase/decrease volume, nor can you increase/decrease the skate sole width. While the skate had very good heat-molding properties, let's not get it twisted.

When I was in MI, a woman walked into the shop; she was from another rink. She had a shop in there and they lost out on their lease. She pointed to ours and she was like "we have one of those, want it?" All we had to do was take a truck down there to pick it up, no charge. They were expensive when they came out, and had to be bought outright (at least that's what they told my shop at the time.) Needless to say, it wasn't necessarily a success.
-
Looks like we'll be sitting down with them while I'm in Vegas; we'll see then.
-
...and when you have a warranty issue you may not have a leg to stand on.

"Designed that way" is a strong phrase to use. Nothing to do with the materials in the boot and everything to do with the fact that MLX sold direct-to-consumer. With dealers involved this time around and a larger audience, it would behoove them to not recommend anything but a skate oven at a LHS. FIT Machine actually came out 10 years ago with the 1152 Tack; while they recommended it with the U+, it's not like they were still selling them by then. You certainly can't get one now.
