  1. Thanks. Unfortunately True does not make youth skates and ccms are all plastic and not moldable, so Bauer is my only option. I may try an ankle sleeve like you posted or just rebake and Saran Wrap. Anyone add neoprene or other adhesive backed around the ankle collar or use those gel inserts? I’m kinda a mad scientist with sport’s equipment so I love this stuff
  2. My daughter has narrow ankles. She is skating youth vapor 3x, and there are not boot size options for youth beyond standard. I have rebaked them but her ankles still wobble a bit when laced and skating. Any inside boot or ankle sleeve options? I know strength will help over time but she has skated for a few years now, part of it still anatomy related. Thanks
  3. My daughter is using the elbow pads, no complaints so far, which is a minor miracle :). They have held up well and have nice range of motion, I’d recommend them if you just need something basic with decent forearm coverage.
  4. My daughter has junior ft4s which are too small. Our lhs does not have the ft6 pros in stock (the ft4 has been eliminated). The ft680s appear to be a much cheaper build that the ft4s she has. Are these just plastic? They are not the same build as the ft 680 senior boots and appear to be the same as the 670s except for the tendon guard and a few other minor details. Are these similar build quality as Bauer x4s or m4s? She really liked her ft4s, I’m a bit hesitant to go down to the 680s, we could order the ft6 pros too. thanks for any info
  5. First time poster, go easy on me if not the best question:) I am getting back into hockey after a long layoff. I am coaching and will be playing a time or two per week this winter as well. I coached last year and used my one75 skates for the season - I didn’t want to buy new skates since I wasn’t sure if my daughter would want to continue or how much I’d get on the ice as well. I am 5 10, 195, played growing up and was mostly a Bauer supreme skate guy, but liked the micron 1090 Mega airs as well. I’d like to get new skates and am wondering how much stiffer the skates are now vs my one75s or other considerations? I liked everything about the 75s, they fit fine and I put speedplates in them last year, they are just getting worn down so I’d like a new pair to use for the next several years. Would supreme 2s (non pro) be a pretty logical progression to look at? Any others? Thanks.
