  1. Anybody know when the new ST 75 flex will be out? I see it on a couple sites but only right handed in Zetterberg curve. Looking for 75 flex, left, Sakic curve. Grip/no grip doesn't matter. Probaly when the season is over, right? :-)
  2. Unfortunately, kids will be kids. They see all this new gear coming that all the pros use and just HAVE to hold it in their hands. And of course, flexing them to a kid is THE way of finding out if it is a good stick or not. Why? Who knows. It's just cool, I guess. Would it make any sense for shops to take the high level sticks and lock them up in a rack? Even if it is only a bar going across them that will not allow the stick to removed until it is unlocked? If you go to Walmart electronics all the PS3 and X-Boxes and games are locked up and cannot be touched except when the associate unlocks it. At least that way the sticks would be watched by the associates that can stand there with the kids and/or parents and remind them not to flex the crap out of them. You know the song, "signs, signs, every where there's signs"? Sometimes they mean nothing, especially if kids are not being watched. Flex it for a second and put it back quick before someone sees me. It would be a small investment made to protect a larger one in the prices of the sticks, wouldn't it? Just a thought.
  3. And if I may also ask about sizing everybody, I know these questions have been beat to death, and I don't have a LHS within 5 hours of where I live, what would be a "suggested" size in the X-60 compared to a size 10D Mission XP-120? I'm thinking 9 or 9.5?? He wears a size 11.5 shoe (my son). His foot shape is wider in the forefoot area, narrower at the heel. And he's always wore Mission, so not really familiar with how Bauer fits compared to Mission. I really wish I could drive somewhere and have him try-on, but boy it's a LONG way. :-) Thanks in advance.
  4. Personally I have been trained on the ME system and I would love to be able to use it in my stores but cant. If I was an ME dealer I would use both the FBV and the ME system and I think it would be even better than anything out there. Before FBV the finish and the system used with ME was pretty much the best "PROGRAM" out there IMO. How does it differ from the profiling that I get from No Icing? I'm just trying to get educated. Is there a place I can find that explains the difference between ME and what I am using now, which is No Icing combo? My son really has no issues at all with that part, but I am really interested in the difference bewteen the two. Thanks for your information, trainer, I appreciate it. I looked on the ME site itself it is very limited on info.
  5. Thanks Chadd. So in your opinion, the profiling I am getting from No Icing is no different than what the guys talking about the M-E would be getting. With the exception that my son is actually geting a better sharpening and more glide with the FBV? The M-E is just getting "started" in the area that I am referring to, and some of these guys have no idea about the profiling I've been geting for 4 years now, and FBV couldn't possibly be anywhere as good as M-E, as they tried to tell me. YET, I heard for the 1st time all season that my son has the most powerful and smoothest stride on the team, taking 2 strides to all the other kids 4 strides and still beating them on speed drills. So maybe I'm not the one talking out my ass, huh? LMAO
  6. I need to ask a question, guys. My son is loving the FBV, and he also uses the combo radius, 7' x 11'. I just came home from a Bantam AAA tournament in Canada, and all I heard is the rave about the Maximum Edge services. What exactly is the difference between that and FBV? I tried to convince the FBV is the newest and fastest growing concept out there, but basically I was kinda talking out my ass because I don't know exactly what Maximum Edge is other than profiling. Is there a difference in sharpening method, or is it the same as FBV or what? Please help me have a more educated argument for the next trip. :D
  7. Bauer sells more skates, therefore more Bauer steel breaks. It's really that simple. I don't disagree with either of you, I was just making an observation that I have only seen Supremes with the blade issues. That in no way means that other products aren't having the same problems, just that I myself haven't seen it, that's all. And like JR pointed out, it very well could be from poor sharpenings and heat related, not necessarily the product itself.
  8. What skates do you use, if you don't mind my asking. Just a guess, but are they Bauer supremes by any chance? :-) Ding Ding! You are the 7th person in just the last 6 months that I know of this has happened to, and only the supremes, none were vapors. My son wears Missions, so unsure about if bauer uses different steel on the 2 models?? Just an FYI. :-)

  10. IYO JR which of the 09 line will be the equivalent to the vector v10?? Thanks.
  11. So the vector is being replaced (or renamed) octogun? Looks like the U+ CL will be about the lightest stick on the market at 405grams. be curious to find out the durability. On my son's U+ '08 the blade is split down the whole bottom and he only used it for about a month and a half. Went back to the vector and glad I did. He loves shooting again.
  12. I agree with you JR. I just googled CCM Rocket Runner Skate Blades and found numerous sites sold in pairs anywhere from 29.99-34.99. Not to sound stupid, but why would you only buy one blade anyway? It would take alot of grinding to match 1 blade to the original, wouldn't it? Just a reference to the "35-40 each".
  13. LMAO!! Kids believe anything, huh??? I couldn't work in a LHS because I could never hold my tongue back. Hat's off. They don't believe, they know everything. You've got that right Chadd. I have a 13 year old that totally falls into that catagory. LOL
