  1. I think I pretty much fixed the askew foam with a heat gun and some pressure. Looking forward to trying them out asap.
  2. Got mine yesterday. Heat molded them this morning. They fit amazing. I think I messed up the foam a little on one of the heel locks. Perhaps I should've used a shoe horn. :/ I'll have to see what Scott says about correcting it.
  3. Scott would probably be the best fella to answer that question.
  4. CX500934845CA ? Haha Still showing Chicago.
  5. Scott told me they would take about 6 business days to arrive. That puts them at tomorrow.
  6. Mine are showing "Processed Through Sort Facility" in Chicago as of 12:46 am today. Canada post and the USPS make it awfully hard to stalk your packages.
  7. I was originally quoted 2.5 weeks for production. He said it should be about 6 business days for them to get to me from Canada land.
  8. Scott said mine should be done in the next 2-3 days. 2 weeks for custom skates is pretty awesome.
  9. I've used them a few times. They're pretty solid.
  10. One more overtime shift and my order is going in.
  11. Fit After getting fed up with the EPP foam inserts in my Bauer 7500 moving around and having glue stuck in my hair every night, I decided to buy a new lid. Protection The main selling point of this helmet. The Messier Project was started to reduce head injuries in the sport. Rather than the typical foam guts, The M11 has what Cascade calls it's "Seven Technology" which places groups of cylindrical cells to "absorb impact through lateral displacement". It also claims to outperform EPP foam by 26% better than EPP foams on 1st impact, 107% better than EPP foams on 2nd impact and 140% better than EPP foams on 3rd impact. Shell is a one piece design with fit adjustment in the rear. I've had my bell rung a few times and this bucket has been great. 10/10 Weight Seems to be about average as far as weight goes. Not super light. I use a cage, so that adds a deal of weight there. I can't speak for the weight of the Cascade cage as I just moved my Bauer cage over. 8/10 Durability Been using it for 3 months now a few times a week. No issues at all thus far. 10/10 Intangibles This helmet is on the more expensive side. I for one have never had an issue paying for safety. We all have to go to work the next day (Unfortunately) Custom colors are also available if that blows your skirt up. Conclusion This is a well made very protective helmet. Pony up and replace your cruddy old helmet that all the foam is falling out of. 9.5/10

    Reebok 11k OPS

Background: Stay at home D man. 75 flex, Phaneuf curve, non grip. This is my first Reebok stick. Previous sticks are Warrior Dolomite, Bauer One95, X60, Total One. Blade This was really the main issue I had with the stick. The blade does chip very easily. After two games I had a decent sized chip on the toe. Now after a few months of use, it's continuing to grow. I've read the previous sticks in this line have had similar issues, but this is my first Reebok stick. I can say as far as my experience goes, the issue still exists. (pics below) The chipping has not affected performance. Other than the chipping, the blade is very stiff and has good puck feel. The blade also has dimpling on it like several other Reebok twigs. It didn't make any noticeable difference to me as far as puck trajectory goes. I'm a stay at home D man with brick hands, so I don't think anything would for me. 7/10 Mainly because of the chipping Shaft/Flex Feels pretty true to flex. I prefer a whippy stick and got the 75 flex. One of the main reasons I snagged one if these is my deep love for sticks with a matte finish. I previously have had a few X60LEs and loved them. Stick has been hit with a few heavy shots and has held up like a champ. The 75 flex is 2 inches shorter than the higher flex counterparts, which puts it at the same length as all of my Bauer sticks. 9/10 Stickhandling/receiving passes Stick plays as well as you could expect from a brick handed fellow like me. The only difficulty I had in this area was do to the very low weight of this stick. 8/10 Shooting I really dig the way the puck comes off of this thing. Nice low kick point with a decent amount of power. Accuracy is good. 9/10 Weight and balance Very well balanced. Reebok claims to have added more weight near the butt end to balance it out. Feels pretty natural, not blade heavy at all. This stick is stupid light. It took a little time with it to get used to it. It also made it a bit tougher to switch back to my TO. Thie light weight may not be for everyone. 8/10 Durability Besides the blade, the stick has held up pretty well. Taken some nasty hacks and given some out. It's also been hit with some hard shots and came out okay (The kind of shots that broke a few X60s one me). 7/10 Intangibles This is a little higher in the price range, although they can be found for cheaper these days. Conclusion Over all this is a few nice stick. It still goes to a lot of games with me. It has not won over the place in my heart held by the One95 and now the TO. I'm happy with it, but I'm also a bit annoyed by the blade issue, even if the blade still plays the same way. I just expect a little more out of a high end stick. I may or may not grab another one in the future. 8/10 Blade chipping pics.
  13. Background. I'm a stay at home shot blocking D man that plays beer league B level. 5'9" 180 lbs. I was looking for a wide shin pad that had a good amount of protection. I got them in 15". I wear my shin pads overlapping the tongue of my skates. Fit: These pads fit me well. I have thinner chicken calfs. They have a lower strap that offers some additional wrap around protection and a neoprene strap that goes around the knee. The definitely need some shin tape to get a good knee lock going. (At least they need to for me) The previous shin pads I've worn have all been 15" and these seem to be true to size. 9/10 Protection This is where these thing excel. In my summer league this past year, one of the teams had several kids that played at a local D1 school. I've taken a few of their shots off my shins without any issue. You can feel it, but it doesn't leave you in pain. It also has the padding that wraps around the back of the calf for some additional protection. 10/10 Weight These pads really don't seem overly heavy or light. They're some what beefy, but the weight of them has never been noticeable. 8/10 Durability I've worn these 2-5 times a week for over a year and they're holding up pretty good. I do have some fraying on the calf wrap on one pad and the start of the same issue on the other (Can be seen in pics). No cracks or major issues. 9/10 Intangibles Removable liner. Nice if you want to wash it. I'm not that worried about it. I air my stuff out in front of a fan after I play, so they're not really smelly. These were a 2011 model and can probably be found on sale. Originally they were on the pricey side. Conclusion Over all, for what I was looking for in a shin pad, these are great for me. They've been durable, they're good for shot blocking, and they've been comfortable. They work well for my style of play. If you prefer a lower profile, light shin pad, these may not be for you. I've been very happy with mine. 9/10
  14. That they do. I plan on getting a used outback to daily drive once I get the STI paid off. Lot's of room. Hopefully an LL Bean edition one so it has all kinds of nice stuff.
  15. Get a Subaru wagon like Chadd's wife did.
  16. Thanks. It's a lot of fun. Just got finished changing the oil.
  17. They fit outstanding. I'm 5'9" 180 lbs. No pain at all the first few times I've worn them. Just need to get used to the new blade profile. I'm coming from the U+ pros. They seem to have a lot more padding in them than my CCMs did. No matter how soft the pass or shot that hit those things was, it still hurt. TBL, If you want a pair a CCMs to hang from your mirror, I'll give you a good deal on mine. ;)
