Melting Chin Straps

I have a Carbster, but the chin strap is way too long. Uusally straps are made out of nylon and melts instead of burning when esposed to a flame. I've managed to succesfully fuse the end of a backpack strap that was fraying, and I have the same idea for when I cut a piece off the mission strap. But before I do that and risk ending up with a charbroiled Carbster (not Atkins friendly!), can anyone confirm that their strap is nylon and/or meltable?

I have done this with my jofa 480 cage on my Bauer 4000 helmet, it actually worked very well for me, i suggest giving it a shot.

PM a member who has a Carbster about it. I know JR likes the carbster, and alot of members bougth the 2 for 1 carbsters a while back. I suggest you ask first.

It works without a problem. You can also just put a dab of hot melt glue on the end.

I've used a flame (on an Itech) and Krazy Glue (on a Nike) and both work fine
