What is similar to a mogilny curve

Recommended Posts

For my off ice training, I need a cheap wooden stick or blade that shoots like a mogilny does. Now I could go compare numbers on paper in the DB all day, or ask someone who has experience. So does anyone have any suggestions for sticks/blades and-or curves.

I haven't used the Iginla, but as a regular Inno Mogilny user I'd say that an Easton Sakic or TPS Nash is the closest. The Mogilny curve is not quite as deep as the others but it shouldn't cause you too much trouble. Go out and buy yourself a cheap Easton woodie with a Sakic curve and you'll adjust.

CCM Recchi V-60 would be a good outdoor off-ice choice. Great for concrete, asphalt or other rough surfaces and is a tad heavier than the graphite composites so you can build up arm strenght during your off season.

if your off ice training and using a ball? i dont think it really matters..

unless you just want a blade for cosmetic reasons...

plus a wood blade is not very durable for off ice, youd want an abs/plastic type blade for that...

id also agree the mogilny and sakic are very different, the nash is closer...

I have used both the Mogilny and Iginla and have found that they are very close, however, I would agree that the Mogilny was most like the Recchi curve
