Dead iPod

Recommended Posts

I bought my 20gb in December, and today it stopped working completely. It won't charge or turn on, yet my friends pod which works completely fine wont charge on my firewire either. It could be an issue with my firewire cable, but my computer wont recognize the pod through USB 2.0 either  Any idea what could be wrong?

I'm thinking it's the connector on the iPod maybe if it won't react to being plugged into anything.

Did you buy the extended warranty from your retailer?

Cavs, same thing happened to mine. I tried everything on their help site, but I ended up just sending it back. They were really helpful in returning it, and it was like a 14 day round trip.

Forget calling Apples techies. Just bring the dead iPod to your local apple store. You only get one "free" call to apple before they start charging you. And its like a $35 fee for calling they're techies after you're 1 "free" call.

Yeah, for sure take it to the apple store, its a lot easier. Some pretty cool stuff at the apple stores..only if I could play games on their computers :(.

The same thing happened to mine, except the guy didn't show me up. He couldn't get it to work, so they gave me a new one. They upgraded me from 2nd generation to 3rd generation, plus 10 gigs to 15.
