EDIT - GOALIE CREASE problem (ward&patch)

My brother bought 6 Kovalev retail blades on Ebay from the store Ward&Patch. Then, the blades came to home but there was only 1 Kovalev retail blade, the others 5 blades were McCarty which the name on the hosel was blackened. So I email them to tell them what happen with the blades. They told me that the McCartys were the newer version of the Kovalev retail blade which is completely false. So I took pics and send the pics to them and they answered me back to ship the 5 blades to their stores. So I shipped the 5 blades (they were all in mint condition) to the store. So I thought everything was fine and that I could get my 350$CDN back pretty soon. So then, 2 weeks have gone and still no news from them. I emailed them and the guy said they still don't have received the blades. 3 weeks later, I received news and they said they received 2 broken blades in the 5 which is completely false. So, I call Purolator to know what happened with that and they said maybe it's us in the shipping that may have broke the 2 blades. On April 25th, Purolator send a complaint form to Jason Ward & Rod Laforme (owners of the store) so Purolator can give the cash back to Wartd&Patch. But what happened is that Ward&Patch declined to fill the complaint form.

2 months later, I have still not my cash.

We don't know what to do but I'm sure the blades are not even broken. They are bullshiters. Anyone can help.

Wow - sounds like these dudes are trying to pull a fast one on you. By the way, Ward & Patch on eBay is called the Goalie Crease I believe (Goalie Heaven is another Toronto store called Toronto Hockey Repair). Did you pay for the blades with a credit card?

I don't know Purolator's policies, but other shipping companies allow the shipper to fill out a claim. However, it's possible Purolator will say, "Fine, show us the pictures of the damage," in which case you'll need Ward & Patch's help.

I'd look into that first, but Flashgordon may be right: if you paid by credit card, ask to have the charges reversed.

Try calling Goalie Crease back and talk to Rod directly. He may be able to help you out.

On a side note, I had bought stuff from them in the past and got screwed with duty fees (I live in the U.S.). I will never buy anything from a Canadian store that uses Purolator as a shipper!

The only option you have is to dispute the charge with your credit card company. If they accepted the package without noting damage, they are going to have a hard time getting money from the shipping company.
