End of lockout near?

NHL Lockout Almost Over??? Deal Imminent??:  (Wed Jun 1, 2005 - 1:10pm )

We've heard this sort of thing before, but there are strong rumblings Wednesday afternoon that the NHL and NHLPA are very close to finalizing a new labour deal, possibly even imminent. LeafsLunch, on 640Toronto radio, has quoted sources as saying that a deal is pretty much in place (the major details have apparently been finalized but the smaller details need more work) and could be announced fairly soon.

Again, a deal has not officially been announced, but rumblings all point to a deal being virtually in place with just a need to iron out smaller details in the next few days or week. Stay tuned for more updates...
