Fury shell

Recommended Posts

My club team this year is requiring that we all get these new Fury shells which they say are "more protective" and "will provide a unique look." I was wondering if anyone could give me some more detail about the shell, such as its mobility and appearance.

They don't even list them in the current catalog but Keith said they had standard nylon shells available. He never mentioned anything special about them.

sorry, but i dont get exactly what you are talking about, could you fill me in?

and do you have any pics ?

thanks

Shells are something that you put over your pants so it looks like everyone's got the same pants without buying completeley new ones. Or it can be used to make old pants look newer.

By chance is it a padded shell? Padded shells are the bottom part on a two piece pant, and has all of the thigh pads in it. The only thing missing would be the "top", which is the kidney, tailbone and upper side thigh padding.

i'd guess that's what it is, i haven't gotten to the shop that has them yet.

Speaking of Fury, I heard there sticks are just bullshits, I have not had the chance to try one but this is from someone I know who is playing in Ontario in Jr A who had Fury at the beggining of the year but since they were always breaking, they have made the switch to Easton.

I haven't used their sticks on-ice, but shooting around in some fake-ice areas and stickhandling doesn't seem terrible. We only had the 2 returned to the store and we sold about 20, so thats only a 10% return rate, but the test market was small. Chadd had some issues with his (I believe breakage), but I can't say anything bad from what I have personally dealt with or seen.

We had a lot of Bantam kids playing AA and using jr sticks, they didn't hold up to the abuse. The one I was using has a crack in it but is still holding up pretty well. Then again, I'm not the kind of player that does much with my stick other than shoot and pass.

Puck feel is pretty good on them, performance isn't as good as other similarly priced sticks.
