Shoulder Pads Itech vs. Jofa

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of Itech Techlite 655 shoulder pads... but am thinking of switching to jofa 8500s.

Anybody have a pair of those? What do you think of them?

I just replaced my old elbow and shin pads with new jofas and I like them. But, I'm not sure how the shoulder pads fit.

I just sold another pair of Itech 660's this afternoon, they've been pretty popular this year.

yeah itechs are a great shoulder pad,im not personally keen on the new ones but there caps are defintley much lower than the jofas. the jofa may have abit stronger shoulder cap and chest and back pieces

I can't imagine a more protective shoulder than the Itech 990. Then again, I can't imagine anyone actually needing that much protection.

i remember the older itech shoulder pads had great protection, im just abit leary about that 3-D back piece compared to there older one piece one. thats why i think the rbk/jofa ones are abit more protective because they are one piece.

The segmented sections allow for much more freedom of movement while the sternum and spine protectors float slightly off the body and have hard plastic inserts. You can't get as much protection in a one piece pad without making it extremely restrictive.

Yeah, I always tell the kids not to remove them, or at least not to tell mom they removed them.
