If those prove to be true, I like the fact that the draft lottery for this year will be seeded equally. Take Washington for example. In '03-'04 they had 59 points. However, in '02-'03 they had 92 points and they made the playoffs. Washington was already rewarded for dumping off their entire team by getting Ovechkin, they shouldn't have any sort of advantage over any other team in the upcoming draft. Some teams fluctuate (sp?) very much over the course of just one year, and who knows how well they would have done if there had been a season this year. I think giving every team an equal chance is the only way of holding a draft this year that remains somewhat fair.
