For Southern Jerseyers

Not saying my town is any better, but Morrestown sucks, period.

I don't like Moorestown particularly because it's where the people come from to go to our town...come night time our town is filled with rich people walking down our "Main Street" drinking their wine and such and it just makes our town look so stupid...

I used to live near Morristown in a town called Bernardsville. What a wonderful area.

Two different places. Moorestown is in south Jersey, decent upper class neighborhood with a great school system. Morristown is in northern-central Jersey, where the Mennen corporation is based (they built a rink, Mennen Arena). Bernardsville is a VERY nice town, among the richest in the state. They also have a good school system, but it doesn't show up a lot of the times because a lot of their best and brightest kids (or richest, take your pick) end up at expensive private schools. The Pingry School is located in Bernardsville, a $40K per year private school with an almost 50% Ivy League matriculation that DOESN'T board. But who would board if you could live comfortably 5 minutes away in a $4 million house?

How close is that to where the Gill School had been/is?

We had a neat piece of property that had been part of the Gill Estate. As a matter of fact, we lived on what had been the zoo. There was a run down greenhouse on the propery which had been the alligator pits and peacock pens, a carriage house for horses, plus the foundation for the bear pen.

It was such a cool piece of property, but my dad became terminal with cancer, so the doctor told him to live his final days where he wanted to. For my dad, that was the ocean in Massachusetts.
