Recommended Posts

Guest chickmagnet_999

I've seen the Bauer 8000 Helmet lots and it looks very similar to the Nike Quest in my Opinion. I have the Nike Quest helmet ands its a very comfortable helmet. Has anyone tried the 8000 out ?? And if so is it Comfortable

I don't think that anyone has used a 8000 yet, and I think that the ones at the trade show in Toronto were prototypes or something along those lines, but I could be wrong.

Correct the ones at the expo were mock ups, not adjustable at all.

i own one and it fits like a glove .. super comfy!

and looks super goofy... unless no other bucket will fit your head its not a great buy in my opinion but if you want to spend the extra $$ for width adjustment go ahead. ive tried it on and felt no difference from my 5000.

I had a concussion at the beginning of the season, which made me decide to try out an 8000. Definitely the best helmet I have ever worn in the sense that it provides great comfort and great protection. I definitely recommend an 8000.

I just got a concussion on saturday in a 8000. Their a solid helmet though, the hit was pretty big and a crosscheck to the head. Made a dent in my cage that looked like you hit it with a baseball bat.

i just took my 8000 back to my LHS. I loved it, but they're sending it to bauer to see if i can get a replacement, because the padding right around my temple area, so just around the ear piece ripped, and was fell off. Other than that, it's the best helmet i've ever worn.

I just bought an 8000 and have no complaints. I really like the new adjustable features of the width and "occipital lock" or whatever you call it. I tried on the Quest 1 helmet and although being super ugly, it was also comfortable.
