Bauer 4000 / Nike 0004 Helmet questions

Does anyone know if the Bauer 4000 / Nike 0004 Large Helmets have trouble fitting with a Oakley Straight Cut Visor. I've heard that those visors don't fit the Bauer 4000 helmet very well.

Yeah...you just gotta work it a little, but it can be done.

Don't screw the bolts in all the way...get them barely in, make sure you get all 4 in before you torque them down.

Go to a hardware store and get:

Longer screws

Nylon washers

Nylon nut

Works fine for me.

I have this set-up and it works fine but the mask will end up very close to your face. Even if you adjust the mask all the way out.

I use a medium Bauer HH4000, although I don't use a visor much anymore I used to have an Oakley pro straight on it and it fit fine. No problem with it being too close to my face either.

One thing I would suggest is the nylon washer system though, otherwise the visor tends to pull the sides of the helmet out some.
