Rinks in NJ

I live in Cenral New Jersey and the rink that I currently play at is rumored to be shutting down as of september first. I have been looking around and not too many rinks have websites. Does anyone on MSH play at the following rinks....

Aberdeen

Morristown

ISCA

Kendal Park

or any other within a half hour drive of bridgewater....thanks for your help guys....

I currently play at ISCA and used to play at Morristown. I like ISCA because it's only 10 minutes from my house. Leagues range from D7 to D1. It's not bad, competition is fairly decent, everyone complains about the officials but it's gonna be the same anywhere you go. Fees are about 180-200 depending on the amount of guys. They run the leagues pretty tight as well.

I haven't played in Morristown in like 3 years but it was very costly. Last time I played there it cost me about $230. Pretty similar in terms of divisions.

I'm probably about to start playing at aberdeen again, I had been playing at rahway in their 4 on 4 league. The Rahway league is good, but aberdeen is 5mins from my house.

As for aberdeen, how expensive is it, how is the competition, what divisions are offered? The biggest factor in my decision is how big is the rink? I know at Extremes where I was playing the best part about the entire place is the rink size. I hear morristown and isca are like playing in a closet. However everytime the isca grizzlies would show up for an in house tournament it didnt seem they had any problems adjusting to the bigger rink. Thanks for your help guys.

I play at ISCA too. I've been there for years. Fury is right, refs can be bad...one of the guys I swear they recruited right out of the snack bar.

I play/have played in every division from D1 down to 7. Competition is pretty good. Equal in most cases, with every team having a good shot at winning any given night. Of course there a few teams that sneak through that don't belong in the division, and those are usually teams with Dennis on it! Right, Fury lol!

The condition of the rink is very good though. It's a good surface, kept in good shape. Altogether a pretty good facility.

I have heard the Mtown rink is somewhat similar but that the ceiling is like 10 ft high. Any puck shot up hits it and is out of play.

Nah, it's Wallington.

Morristown is HORRIBLE. Had to play there for PIHA, that team had such an advantage because they played in that closet.

Aberdeen is around 125 a guy for 4 on 4. Usually they'll be able to put you on a team.

If I remember correctly monday is more A/B/Some C guys. Wednesday is mainly A/High B.

Since Inman opened up again it's supposedly really good competition, a lot more levels offered than Aberdeen offers. But I really don't have much more info, but the number is 732-756-8100

rahways a nice size rink.. ISCA to me is like playing in a closet, its very small. As for aberdeen, ive played there so many times for torhs tournaments, and its not the biggest rink but def not the smallest rink ive played on. Its a good size rink with a good amount of room on it.. good facility

#96, what team you play for? I hate it when teams "sneak" in that shouldn't be there. I remember Denis playin' in like D6, bastard. :P I played in D3 until I broke a bone in my hand. Right now I'm playin' D6, signed up as an individual. I suck now since I've been playin' alot of ice and I can't stop on inlines anymore. :D

I've been on so many teams. This season I was on Blood Bath and Beyond D1, Underdogs D3, Disgruntled Postmen D4, Crotch Crickets (my original team) D5. Last season I was on a D6 team called Meat Curtains (we finished last, lol).

I've been on Kryptkeepers D2, 3 and 4. Quahog D6 a couple of seasons, Demons D6 and 7, Decepticons D4 and 3. A few more on like one season stints I guess. I've been there since it opened, so I'm not sure how many teams it's actually been. My closet is full with old team jerseys, and those "ISCA" jerseys they used to give out.

I was on Bad Bounce in 3. Before that I played for Dynamo & Bruins in 4, Wrathchild and I when I started I played in the ball league with a team called the Celtics.

Aberdeen is in Aberdeen.

It used to be goodsports, it's now Tab Ramos Sports Center.

The other goodsports is the one in Allaire/Wall.

Wrathchild was a mix of like Weigel, Jelcic, I think Salvati and a couple of others that I can't remember. That was like 4 or 5 years ago.

Yeah I actually do, but I don't know if I could swing playin' for 2 teams there. It gets kinda costly plus I play ice as well. If anything changes I'll let you know.

played at iSC in Cherry Hill on some torunament teams a bunch of times. Thats full size i believe but the boards behind the net are just pieces of wood and the sides are all glass besides the bottom foot. I actually almost passed the puck to fans standing outside the rink sometimes because it looks like they are standing on the rink haha

And add to that the metal coverings for where the volleyball nets go. If you carry the puck or make a mass that crosses over them it bounces all over.

I work and play at Extremes and idk <_< about this rumor if it does happens you should go to Inman or Rahway they're some of the best rinks in Central Jersey and they're not really expensive like ice hockey. I don't like ISCA cuz of their refs they gave my traveling team a really hard time and the ISCA Grizzles always win all of the time cuz of the refs. So... don't go to ISCA at all
