More Math help!

This problem was just for fun today. I remember doing problems more simple years back, this one has more information, and now I am confused. I was unable to figure it out earlier, and still am stuck. I am bound to figure this out, so any, and all help is welcomed! Unfortunately, I do not have a scanner so I will type the problem:

The Woebegones are a European rock band touring the United States. Five of the cities at which they performed concerts are Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and New York City. In each of these cities the concert was opened by one of these five bands: Crazy Glues, Double Double, Draw Backward, Right Turn, and Street Crazed. The attendances at the five concerts were 70,000, 60,000, 50,000, 30,000, and 25,000. From the information given, determine the order in which they played the five cities, the attendance, and the name of the opening band.

1.Cleveland was later in the tour than Buffalo but earlier than K.C. which was earlier than the city where they had the largest crowd.

2. Draw Backward was not the opening act for the largest crowd but they opened for a larger crowd than the Crazy Glues.

3.Street Crazed opened in a city that was later in the tour than N.Y.C but earlier than Cleveland.

4. The crowd when Double Double was the opening act was larger than in Cleveland but exactly one half of the crowd at the N.Y.C. concert.

That is the given information/problem, besides a table presented where I check off if Buffalo was First, Second, ect. or if Double Double had 30,000 people in attendance. The only one I was able to even attempt to try was number 4. Cleveland at 25,000; N.Y.C. at 60,000; and Double Double at 30,000. Not even sure if that is correct, so please, anybody that knows how to do this, please explain!

I think I have it:

NYC; 60,000; Draw Backward

Buffalo; 50,000, Street Crazed

Cleveland; 25,000; Crazy Glues

KC; 30,000; Double Double

LA; 70,000, Right Turn

That looks right.

Okay, is it possible to explain it via internet though? I'd like to know for future reference. Thank you.

It'll be tough, but I'll try.

Statement #1 automatically gives you:

Buffalo

Cleveland

Kansas City

By looking at statement #3, we can put NYC as the earliest city because statement #1 says that there's a city after KC. NYC is the earliest because there was only one city before Cleveland on the above list. And because it says the city after KC is the largest city, we'll put LA there with the largest attendance:

NYC

Buffalo; Street Crazed

Cleveland

KC

LA; ; 70,000

Looking at statement #4, because there's only two places that had attendances of exactly one half of another city, Double Double had to be playing in front of an attenced of 30,000 (since 25,000 is the lowest attendance). We don't know where they're playing yet, but we now that Cleveland had a 25,000 attendance and that NYC had an attendance of 60,000.:

NYC; ; 60,000

Buffalo; Street Crazed

Cleveland; ; 25,000

KC; ;

LA; ; 70,000

Again with statement #4, Double Double has to be playing for a crowd of 30,000. Looking at the above list, since we already know Street Crazed opened at Buffalo, we can put Double Double opening in KC with an attendance of 30,000:

NYC; ; 60,000

Buffalo; Street Crazed

Cleveland; ; 25,000

KC; Double Double; 30,000

LA; ; 70,000

Looking at statement #2, we can come to the following conclusion of:

NYC; Draw Backward; 60,000

Buffalo; Street Crazed

Cleveland; Crazy Glues; 25,000

KC; Double Double; 30,000

LA; ; 70,000

Which leaves the only band remaining playing the only city remaining without a band and the only remaining attendance also applied to the correct city:

NYC; Draw Backward; 60,000

Buffalo; Street Crazed; 50,000

Cleveland; Crazy Glues; 25,000

KC; Double Double; 30,000

LA; Right Turn; 70,000
