How many of you think there should be a wayne gretzky award and what should it be for. I think it should be for most assists in a season.

Ya the play makers never get any credit or rewards..they definately should get an assists award in the ballet. And another candidate for the name should be the Oates award.

Best Passer for the award question

As cheesy as naming them after the person who donated the trophy? I think it would be a nice way to recall people like Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe and others.

Just a thought and I think it'd be a hard one to decide on- the "smartest" player or the one with the best hockey sense. I know that might be hard to judge or whatever, but I think that was one of his best assets.

This might be the Selke award but I think there should be an award fro the player who is the best two-player and shows the most leadership.
