I was just wondering if any of the guys here that work or run shops provide some sort of "payment plan" for skate purchases (we're talking figures that exceed 500 dollars) or do you guys prefer your customers to pay up front?

That's what credit cards are for. Store gets the money up front, you get to make payments.

On RARE occasions, I'll let someone ploat a check and make two payments. But I have to know the customer well. Besides, I'm Italian. I tell them "dont have to make me call someone". ;)
