Glove sizing help.

I ma getting a new pair of gloves and would like a little help on sizing. When a ghlove says its 14" is it really 14". Can someone measure just from there tip of their middle finger to their wrist tell me the measurement and then state what size glove they wear? That would be really helpfull.

From the tip of my middle finger to my wrist is around 8" what size glove should I get?

Glove size varies by manufacturer, if you order them without trying them on it's a total crapshoot.

Best thing is to try on all your mates gloves and you can get an idea of what fits and what doesn't. I did that and found the CCM 852's fitted me best, but as they have been discontinued, I ended up getting a pair of 892's online, which are great!

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like some glove sizes are different. For instance, my Mission gloves are 14", but are super loose/roomy. I tried on some Bauer XXX gloves today, and they were super snug.

Like Chadd said, unless you PHYSICALLY try them on, you're grabbing in the dark.
