steel question

i have eaton ultra lights with the stock easton razor blades in them, but i was wondering, should they get dull after the second practice or game on the ice after sharpening? is the steel any good in them ?? if anyone knows, please let me know.thanks

two sessions seems a bit quick to lose the edge completely. I'd make sure that the edges are even after they've been sharpened. If they aren't flat, edges don't seem to hold for very long.

they dont completly loose their edge, but they are extremely dullafter.and the edges being even, is that something i should talk to the skate sharpener about ??? thanks

Are they not holding on turns or do you only notice when you have them off? You should be able to see for yourself if they aren't even.

yea, its mostly just on turns, at first i thought it was because they got sharpened toomuch and the holders were hitting the ice, but they're not that low so i am thinking of just buying something new.

Your form might be a tad off. I used to do that all the time a few years back, but then I went to this hockey school and they corrected it and now I can skate really well. Just an idea though. He could have sharpened your skates to a really deep hollow and over heated the steel, casuing it to become brittle, and because the hollow was too deep it busted off the edge.
