Dominic Moore

First goal of the game, Moore showed everyone how it's done. Textbook goal on Jose Theodore. I am really impressed with the Rangers this year.

BTW- I love the Rangers making these MON fans go quiet. Its a pleasure to not hear them

Zingggg

I thought it was funny how they would erupt into cheers whenever the Canadiens did something good, but went silent seconds later.

Bahhh...Humbug!!!!!!!!!! :P

Lundquist won that game for the Rangers as much as Thibideau lost it for Montreal....interestingly a 5-2 game was actually a battle of goaltenders. Even as a Habs fan the game was still fun to watch...Maybe with all these individual rushes to the net happening and players roofing the puck over the shoulders of goalies on the short side, we will see more stand up goalies coming back...or even taller ones too lol. Certainly lateral agility will become more important again(Moores first goal).

Nice goal...he was off balance.

Not really a power foward, but he certainly is not afraid to take a hit to make a play and he will hit ar tunes.

He's a lot like his brother.

Your are not chracterized in my "Montreal fan hate" MDE :)

I can't believe how good Lundqvist is. I have more trust in him in net then I did in Dunhum and Weekes, thats for sure. This guy has superstar writter all over him. A better sound goalie then Richter, but Richter got better as the games grew in importance and his athleticism was top notch. I am noticing Henrik get better as the game gets more important as well. Montreal could have had 5 or so goals yesterday easily, but he came through./

Another plus is how Moore and Ortmayer made us win and worked hard out there.

Unfortunately, Montreal led with their knees a few times and its too bad someone couldn't give rivet a taste of his own medicine. I can't wait until Kozak is with us.

In Montreal on a SAT night you are usually never going to get the edge in calls, but the refs were pretty good.

Gimme a break. Your saying that refs who reff games all over N.America that when they come to Montreal always favor Montreal? Thats b.s.

I hear alot of "The new NHL should benefit small fast teams like Montreal" on all of the talking heads shows. It seems like Montreal has become the poster child for the new NHL, so as long as the Habs thrive, then the game is being called correctly. Well thats just my crazy theory from watching some of the games at least.

I just hate how the fans in Montreal whistle at bad calls like they do in Europe.

You aren't European! You're Canadian!

Just give 'em their independence already and be done with those Quebeccers once and for all.

Hahah - But keep all the hot French babes here.

Stat of the Day (from tsn.ca):

NY Rangers forward Dominic Moore, who recorded his first career multi-goal game with a pair of tallies, against at Montreal on Saturday, added an assist against the Canadiens on Monday. Moore has three goals and four assists in 18 NHL games, with all his points coming against Montreal.

There are rumours he could play this year. There's alot of paper work that needs to be done as well though.

A lot of those rumors surfaced less than 24 hours before the NHL reinstated Bertuzzi and were refuted by Moore's agent.

Last time I heard it was a little before one of his trial dates. I don't know if he'd be able to get a job in the NHL anymore. I don't think the Avs would have him back, and then it comes down to how many GMs would bring the potential problems, warranted or not, into their rooms.

I remember reading somewhere that Lacroix said he will sign him once he gets medical clearance to play

I don't really see how he would be that much of a problem, assuming he was ever able to play at 100% again and return. I mean, the media attention would be crazy at first, but I don't know what you mean by that...

Bertuzzi is pretty well connected apperantly, as are most star players. I know most of the Avs guys were at least torn in the situation. Not in favour of what Bert did, but understand why he did it, and didn't look upon him as a total jerk. I imagine it's the same impression all around the league. There's the chance players aren't infavour of the way he handled himself and it can cause problems in the room.

Not really on topic, but his cousin goes to my school. Hes on my team as well.. He said that he hasn't talked to Steve in 3 months but that he was getting better and was starting to do some rehab and such for his injuries. No news on if he could play yet though..

The guys I've talked to said that Bertuzzi was not well-liked around the league. That said, people will do whatever is in their best interest. If having him on a team will help them win, they'll take him.

Maybe not well connected as in liked, but connected to superstars around the league. They meet him in all-star games, Team Canada try-outs and photo-ops and such. Beyond that, most teams will side with the stars, which he seems to have a better connection with than Moore. I think the fact Moore sued and didn't "forgive" (that I am aware) for the incident. Alot of players, right or wrong, would've shuffled it off and chalked it up to "in the spurr of the moment" or "frustration". I know he is intitled to do it this way, and legally it was the right steps, but I don't think it helped his NHL career at all.
