Info about pro return

I have seen several items on ebay listed as pro returns. Are pro returns (skates) any good and can one buy pro-returns directly from a club?

Pro returns are usually skates/sticks/gloves that were made for specific players, that companies produced ahead of the teams officially ordering. Or a player decided to switch to another brand/model, or simply blade pattern. So those pro retirns usually are sold to retailers/e-tailers.

Unless you have very good connections, no you shouldn't be able to buy direct from a team.

Or.... some are sold through team "tent" sales (ones players took ownership of but didn't use, or the player left after they were traded, etc).

The Hamilton Bulldogs AHL team recently sold off some of their stuff directly...

"BULLDOGS EQUIPMENT SALE HAPPENING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

The Hamilton Bulldogs will be having a ‘Player worn’ equipment sale this Sunday, October 23rd, in support of the Hamilton Bulldogs Youth Fund. The sale, which will take place prior to the Bulldogs game against the Toronto Marlies, starts at 3:00 p.m. and is being held at Copps Coliseum (beside the Funzone). Fans must have a ticket to be eligible to enter the sale and are asked to enter through the main doors on Bay Street, go down the escalator, and turn left. The equipment available will include helmets, pants, gloves, and a limited number of sticks. Some new equipment will also be available at discounted prices."
