In the game last night against the Pens, Malik scored the go ahead goal, and the announcers and comentators (sp?) kept saying that it was his first regular season NHL goal. What about the SO goal against the Caps? Someone please clarify this, because it's been on my mind for a while...

Shootout points are a different category. Stats are now for Regular season, and then shootout goals. That's at least what I heard.

Maliks first real NHL Season goal was a snipe to. Put it right over the goalies shoulder just inside the blue line.
