The great one is in attendance at tonights game for the Pens. They interviewed him during intermission and apparantly he's interested in the Svatos/Crosby rookie battle as well as Crosby as a consideration for Team Canada. He also mentioned Staahl and Spezza. With mario out for the tournament, another slot opens for one of those guys.

You guys, crosby is still tranistioning from the CHL, Svatos and Staal were playing with some great talent in the AHL last year, so they're natural moving up. I think if crosby can finish bridging to the NHL game before the olympics, he should be taken.

Tons of announcers are saying that Crosby has a better chance than Spezza, they think that with his international experience Crosby would be a better asset emotionally then Spezza. And for Staall just look at the players surrounding him, he has taken this ordinary team and transformed them into one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

But overall, Spezza is 23 i think and Crosby 18. I'd go with Spezza.

Spezza choked in all of his years with Canada. He played in one as a 16 year old, where he didn't get alot of ice-time and then played once or twice more and basically played his way out of his #1 draft position and didn't put up very good numbers, while not being able to carry the team. Heatley had similar issues as well, they may have been on the same line.

I think Crosby is getting overhyped, but he is also in a very difficult situation. Pitts is garbage and his linemates aren't fantastic, not like Alfie and Heatley at least. Of the three I still believe Staal is the one who should go, but there is some merit to the Crosby over Spezza concept.
