Cloutier Out For The Season

Turns out that Cloutier's injury will be longer than a couple of weeks like it was supposed to be.

Good news for the Canucks though. His salary will not count against the Salary Cap so they have a couple million to play around with.

I read 4 months, which would bring him back before the end of the season. Either way it gives Auld a chance to shine, doesn't it? I think he is ready for the job.

edit: link I suppose he could come back for the playoffs. Four months would be be right at the end of the regular season. Math = not really my thing.

Yeah I heard it was for the season ;)(kinda getting excited)

Yeah I do believe Auld is ready for it plus with the aquistion of Oullette from Washington for a backup. Should be not too bad

yeah, i thnik this is great news for alex auld.

I like auld a lot...imo, he's more calm than cloutier...cloutier seems like he scrambles for the puck too much...

Yeah I like Auld way better than Clouts. The only things that i like about Cloutier is:

-He likes to feed guys the blocker(bad temper)

-He's Hurt! :lol:

Based on a recent article in the Washington Post , it is looking very likely

Kolzig will finish his career in Washington as he wants to be one of those players

who plays his whole career with one team .

I dont know why you guys got anything against cloutier, his only downfall is that he can't win in the playoffs, but for regular season hes a solid tender.

His only downfall is he can't win in the playoffs??? THATS RIGHT, that is all that matters! Thats a HUGE downfall, as long as you make the playoffs, regular season means nothing. if you can't win in the playoffs, you are no good to any team.

exactly, I'm a huge canucks fan, grew up with those games on T.V. and on the radio driving. Once they got Cloutier into the playoffs, and thatt goal that Detroit scored from center ice, that ruined his playoffs.

Thats probably the biggest thing that you could ask for in a goalie
