2006 z bubble

I just bought a 2006 z bubble on ebay (about an hour before epuck offered them) and although the seller claims it's brand new and never cut it's very short. I'm going to need a 4 or 5" extension in it. Is this normal..are they making z bubbles shorter?

Is it an intermediate? If not, then I'd say it was cut.
