Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. I am going to go with the ultra lite with either a vapor x or inno blade.

if you get one of the '06 ones let us know how it performs. :D

I'm basically stuck between Ultra Lite and Z-Bubble here. Is Ultra Lite really much more durable (talking about 2005 SR models)? And how does Z-Bubble perform with Z-Carbon blade or similiar, doesn't a stick have two flex zones then? Just wondering.

Z-bubble is better, I've never had a Z-bubble with square corners, they're rounded. The Z-Carbons don't really flex. You should be fine. I find the Bubble has a quicker release and harder shot because of the Focus Flex.

I find it to be always ready to release. Go with the Bubble if you want performance.

I came from two easton synergys Sl's and a used staralth to a ZBubble and I am very impressed with its performance, and with the Z-Carbon Blade is very light. About 3 years ago I was using the ultra light 110 flex and went through them pretty quick but I do play D and am very hard on my sticks. The Z Bubble has'nt dissapointed me yet. And I agree gives you hell of a better shot...Better flex point and Have noticed that it is awesome for puck handling. Id recommend one.

I have one more question: I am going to buy Z-Bubble (SR 100 flex) and it is 50½" long with wooden end plug (which is 3"). I'm 6'2, is it long enough with that end plug (with blade attached) or do I have to get a longer one? I know it depends on blade lie etc. but can you estimate it? I'm too lazy to measure my wooden stick's blade lenght.

I am 5'10 and don't have to cut the stick down so I am going to say buy a longer plug.

63 3/4---is the length of my stick with a 5 lie madono blade (Si-core Carbon)

Max length according to USAH is 63"

I'm 6-1 and use a stick that's about 61-1/4"

Its a stock shaft and blade so who Cares about USAH!!! I don't cut it or modify it.

Does anyone know approximately how long butt end I'll need for my upcoming stick (sr z-bubble w/z-carbon) when I'm 6'2 tall and stick should come up to my chin?
