Vapor XX Skate Problems

If you have these skates, have you had problems with the pref. blades? I have cracked mine twice top and bottom. I think i might switch my blade but keep the lightspeed holder.

My cousin did, he had his XX's for a couple months and he broke them twice, he switched to the regular steel, I guess its more durable, thats what I got to and I like it.

It doesn't matter what type of steel you have because I just broke a set of non-perforated steel in my Lightspeeds.

Perforated steel has a better chance of breaking.

from what ive heard the perf lightspeed steels are being weeded out. the ones that are left are it. i guess there not going to make them any more because they are breaking too easliy. can any one confirm this?

Ive had my lightspeeds for a year now and they seem to be holding up. Vapour xx skates are probably the best skates ive had yet!!

Boston10 they broke twice? thats pretty rough. But that's nothing, a guy on my team had to replace his blades seven times, buy the end of the season he had two extra sets of blades with him. those lightspeed blades are weak as hell. come playoff time I convinced him to switch to t-blades (like I have) and no problems of course. But like you said, if you just use regular tuuk blades you should be fine, :D

Of all the people i know with lightspeeds i've never seen one blade break. The only ones i''ve seen break are razor bladz.

On my new lightspeed holders, they've taken out those groves where the perforated steel would have gone before so that's probably true.

I've had my XX's for 1 season, and have broken 3 sets of perf. blades, and 2 sets of regulars

I've never broken that many before in one season, the most i've broken before this year was 1 set of blades, I'm not a big guy either 160lbs

I have seen more t-blades break than anything. When they break, you know it, they just shatter.

Has anyone had problems getting used to Lightspeeds from Custom +'s?

took me like 3 or 4 skates to get used to it, but after that, they were pretty good. I haven't broke any blades and I'm pretty light (155lbs).
