Need some help...

Hello all, this is my first post. I did some checking but couldn't find anything on this topic:

I was looking over my Vapors the other day and found a deep skate cut in the boot and part of the outersole. I know these skates don't have the best reputation for durability, but I'd like to make them last as long as possible.

Is there any effective way to repair this? I was thinking epoxy, but thought I'd ask first. I'm a little concerned because it looks like the cut went all the way through the boot's outer material and into the liner. The area around the cut now feels quite soft. Any suggestions? Thanks.
