Got an yzerman ST blade

Recommended Posts

Today i recieved my yzerman ST blade i ordered from inlinewarehouse and im shocked to see how big the curve really is. Ive used yzerman curve before and ive never remembered the curve to be this big ( i know its supposed to be pretty big). Has anyone else seen this curve on the ST blade and thought the same as me? <_<

I have the Z-Carb version and I love my forehand shots with it... and yes, it does look like a banana...

But my backhands... :(

I'm with you on that....I noticed an increase too. Just a thought also, we got some newer iginla SL's in our LHS, it looked like they increased the length of the blade, might be a better fit if your looking for something with a little less from eason.(down point that the blade is skinnier than the Yzerman blade)

Well wouldn't a sakic be a better fit then Iginla? As i prefer blades with bigger curves.

You may, but the sakic is going to have an open toe

my question is how did u get a yzerman labled st blade isnt it changed to gaborik last year?

They brought back the yzerman

I think the Gaborik is the One- piece and the Yzerman name is still on the blades

Wrong. Yzerman is a 6-lie blade, and Gaborik is 5.5. They both have the exact same curve.

The Gaborik is fugly, too huge and waaay too open for anything contructive. As a defenseman, I could never use something like that, forwards wouldn't want to be anywhere near the net when I shoot. As it is with my Nash curve they sometimes have to duck for cover.

So im not using the ST blade because i wont have a chance of being able to stick handle with it  So i might get a different easton blade ST or z Carbon, any opinions?

Also for the curve to get im tilting towards getting a sakic, and i like using mission Hatcher and inno McCarty blades so will i be able to make the switch without too many problems, as i like a reasonable amount of curve?

PM9 is a Hossa, P92 (Naslund) is the Sakic clone.

Mogilny is less curved I believe, or that was compared to an Iggy.

mogilny is more iggy clone and mccarty is more sakic...

IMO iggy and sakic are curved the same...diference: sakic is way more open

Well i used my friends stick today and he had an yzerman ST blade and the blade is great but the curve is too big in so im prob going to get an ST blade with Sakic curve as i think the sakic wont involve too much of a problem with the switch.

How is that ST blade as far as weight and durability?....Im thinking of picking up a forsburg...Ive been using the z-carbon focus flex is it comparable in anyway to those, its hard to beat the z-carbon though thats a solid blade.

Well its pretty light and definitely durable and very stiff and shoots hard and i was using it in a endure shaft that was way too flexy for me. Its a real nice blade!
