Buzz_LightBeer 970 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Im putting my resume together, and Im stck on a few things:-Is it appropriate to use the writers of my letters of recommendation as character references as well?-for language skills, what is the proper way to document that i took 4 years of highschool spanish, and 2 more in college, I speak it, but am not fluentThanks for any help, I know we have a few fellow firefighters on here, if you have resumes you could email me to check out, id appreciate it. tokes 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 From what I was told it's perfectly acceptable to use someone who wrote a letter of recommendation as a character reference too. As for the Spanish bit, I would write something like "functional understanding of basic oral spanish". Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
