I feel bad for Almo, although Lamoriello said it wasn't a move because of the salary cap, LL no doubt has his eyes set on a trade which would require adding salary.

As a Devils fan, I figure not to second guess Lou. I hated the Arnott for Nieuwendyk/Langenbrunner deal at the time, and then a year later we win the Cup. But Malakhov for 3.6 million and Mogilny for 3.5 million never seemed like a good idea. And I never understood why we needed McGillis (let alone paying him 2.2 million) in the first place, since we had a cheaper and younger option in David Hale.

Team's looking better with Elias back. With Kozlov relegated to a 4th liner, I gotta think we're trading him next. For short term rentals, I'm hoping for Dean McAmmond and Mike Sillinger from the Blues.

Just saw him on TSN. He did report to Albany. He had a great quote:

"Some guys play here on their way up to the big leagues...I'm on my way down"

I've always liked Alex...I hope he tears it up...(because Albany isn't in Hamilton's division, and we don't play them this year.)

I feel bad for Alex. He's a nice guy and didn't deserve to be treated like this. He's not even having a "bad" year offensively (25 points in 34 games) but was screwed because of his contract and LL's hands are tied.
