I'm watching it now too. I didn't see the play, but I heard the announcers talking about it (I was busy with something at the time). Players should come over and stick up for a teammate with something like that. It's a general no-no. He better watch out too, plays like that tend to be reviewed by league for possible later suspension.

Yeah I saw it. Daley, Zubov, and Turco just jumped Sullivan after he "probed" Daley. Good game for Dallas. Nice to finally see Guerin score.

I have it on Tivo and plan to watch tomorrow... I guess even if I see the score before I watch the game I know I'll have something to watch for.

Just watched the ov nut clock and the announcers made it sound like the guy didn't mean to.. he TOTALLY meant to do that. That was blatant. The fine should be way more than $1500.. I don't know how much that guy makes a year, but if it's 1.5 mil, he makes $18k per game. (Damn, I'd be happy to play just for free ice!) $1500 is nothing... take away the full game's pay for stuff like that.

Sounds painful. NHL.com didn't show it on their highlights of the game. Anyone got a link?

It looked a decent game though. I feel sorry for Vokoun (just before Niinimaa's goal). Slipped and fell flat on his face.

I don't think that Daley was injured at all. If you watch the replay, you'll see the stick blade go under Daley's body. Daley had a right to be mad, but I don't think the NHL will take any action against Sullivan.

I only saw the highlights from the game, but I didn't think it was bad.

It was still a spear and not a "slash" as it was called.

It's also delay of game.

I couldn't believe a penalty was called on Sullivan. What's he supposed to do? His team is down and the puck is virtually 2 feet from him and about 3 from the goalie. If he's able to retrieve it and get a quick shot on goal, there's a good chance he scores. I don't know, I watched the game and maybe he meant to do that but it sure looked like he was just trying to play the puck to me.

The puck was between the guys knees and ass and he put the toe of his blade into the guys body and lifted, hard.

I would've probably reacted the same way Daley did but then again if I'm Sullivan, I also stick my blade in there to try and fish out the puck (minus the lifting of blade into the guys body).

He knew exactly what he was doing and where he was putting his stick. It was obvious he pulled up, which shows intent to injure. that move was just plain disrespectful and disgusting no matter if he was going after the puck or not. He def. deserves a stiffer fine.

I just saw this... the guy was definitely going for the puck but he should have been more careful. This was no where near as bas as the OV one.
