Don't know how long your hair is, but if you need something to hold your hair out of the way, the under armour skull cap works great.

I have an ex-gf who is a catcher for her softball team and she wore dreads and cornrows for different tourneys (Dont ask) She didnt have any problems with the hair in her helmet, but to be safe, you could always get one of those skull caps

I used to, its a little uncomfortable at first but you get used to it after awhile

I had dreads on and off for years. Wasn't a real problem at all while I played. It was a little itchy at times, but it didn't hinder my game at all.
