I just saved up enough money to buy a new one, my old one was pretty good but is VERY short on me, I go up to killington, wndham,Okemo, a lot of major ski places and don't like to feel cold....my old jacket didn't get me cold but got me some chills.

Please delete this thread please mods

Get a Spyder, my last one cost me $400 and is awsome. I'll see if I can find it.

I can't remember which one and I'm too lazy to go look at which one it is, but it's thinsulate lines, thin, medium length (stays to waist with arms over my head) and damn warm...

Check out some 686 stuff. I haven't used one of their jackets, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. I'm using a Special Blend jacket from about 5 years ago and it's still holding up well.

And would ski jackets bother you while snowboarding? I ski a lot but this year im also doing snowboarding..

Ski jackets fit tight, snowboard jackets fit loose. They are loose so you can move easier. But for a first year snowboarder it wouldnt make any difference what kind of jacket you get.

Oh man, that TNF Met5 jacket is sick. Costs $500 (abouts) and has a lithium ion battery based heater core in it. Heats the fleece-lined shell to 105*F or 117*F.

It looks really tight... but for those hockey moms you always complain about being cold in the rink theres a jacket for them :P

Ronin ALS Hooded (click on the very right for that stencil print.. although a lot of people seem to be rockin' it now)
