I've been pleased with my Vapor XIX's. They are basically the same skate as the Vapor XX's. Just cost less. And the XXX's were just TOO much for me to spend at that time.

I like my non-high end equipment. If it's near high end, it's good enough for me!

I buy something new every year and try to prioritize 1 or 2 items a year as I make it a point to take care of my equipment. If I convince myself to get something that is not a priority, my own compromise is that I'll sell 1 or 2 items that I part with so my equipment package stays fresh and fully utilized.
