Convex shaft shape?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I've been using the inno 400 shaft (jr size) since i was 6,so its time for a new shaft.

Only problem is i love the shape.

Can anyone recommend a shaft with a similiar convex shape, but for sr. or int.?

It's the one on hockeyoutlet.com.

If it helps, the only other shaft shape that has seemed near the inno's is my int. Xn10.

Thanks in advance.

Try to find some older Louisville Rubber shafts - those came in convex ("pro radius"). Also an older Hespeler shaft could work - I know the 9010 was convex, also possibly some of the other models of that era (9009, Prokick).

Nope, the inno 400 is convex.

I only mentioned the int. Xn10 because its shape is small enough to fit in my hand, even though its not convex.

I'm a bit confused whether you are looking for:

convex - "Having a surface or boundary that curves or bulges outward, as the exterior of a sphere."

concave - "Curved like the inner surface of a sphere."

Generally, most people find concave shafts to seem smaller in their hands. If you are looking for concave, our G10's come as low as 80 flex. If you want convex, the TF10 also comes as low as 80 flex. Not quite intermediate, but close.

Most of those convex shafts are smaller diamater than a standard shaft. I had a Hespeler 9010 and it was essentially an Inno 0 shaft shape. The Easton Cyclone is another convex shaft with smaller dimensions.
