Vector Pro's looking at selling them

Recommended Posts

It seems like the stiffness is getting to my left ankle. I have had a few major injuries to both ankles but just seems too stiff and hard. What's your guys' experience?

Seriously looking at going to an 8090 Bauer.

I've had Vectors and I loved them. How long have you had your skates? If their new you may just need to finish breaking them in If it is really hurting your ankle you might need to have the boot baked or punched out.

It just seems the padding is a little thin on the outside. I have added heel lifts today and it seems to feel better. Brings the ball of the ankle up into the padding a little better. But I haven't skated with them yet. I will try them this weekend.

Remember, I have had injuries so that affects the variables.

As for the 8090 they are stiff but softer around the ankle.

The size is 8.5E . Actually a perfect fit for my foot. Just a little rigid on the point of the ankle.

it might be that your ankle bone is too big. the 8090's have stiffer quarters than the vector pros, and the padding isn't especially thick so i don't know if it will help your situation or not

The Bauer Supremes 8090 is a very wide and deep fitting boot. The CCM Vectors are much more shallow. I use the CCM Pro Tacks. It's very well padded with big ankle packs. I have never had any problems with them what so ever. Never had them baked, they felt just like slippers right out of the box. Its an awsome skate if it fits your foot. Try them on?

I work in a clinic and deal with myofascial injuries. I examined my ankle to see exactly what it is that's inflamed and it's the ligament that connects the lateral maleolus (ball on the outside of the ankle) to the talus (heel bone). Anyway it's biting just underneath on that ligament.

Once I get my post count high enough (without spamming) I will advertise them in the buy and sell. Either I will sell them or trade for 8090's.

I've tried the 8090's before and really liked them as well.
