Question about heating a shaft to replace blade.

Do you guys think that there is a certain number of times you can heat up the shaft end to replace blades before the shaft begins to lose its strength? Just wondering.

I guess not, i do it all the time. Doesn't seem to weaken the shaft at all...

As long as you dont overheat it.The answer is no.

As long as you don't overheat it, you can change the blades as often as you like.

I use a heat gun and try to spread out the heat. Thanks for the input.

I use an electric hot plate.. or an electric stove element. Go slow and try to heat the bottom 5 or 6 inches of the shaft evenly to avoid burning it

buy a heat gun. I got my for 9cdn at canadian tire. its the only thing i use when replacing butt ends and blades.
