Well Pro-Shops and Programs mainly. Family is considering making a move. Probably around the West Palm area, but i would go 45 mins distance which ever way.

I hear the ice at the rinks to the east have VERY soft ice. ;)

www.rdvsportsplex.com

RDV Sportsplex in Orlando. Ran that store for 4 years. Last year it was one of the top 10 rinks in the US according to USAHockey. Stop in and tell them JR sent ya.

I play at Coral Springs (2 sheets)....great facility owned by the Panthers, has a gym bar and restaurant, etc. Also play at LightHouse Point's Glacier Ice and Snow, Pembroke Pines Ice Arena (2 sheets), and the Palm Beach Ice Zone in Lake Worth (2 sheets)

I play in the Tampa area. There are a total of 7 sheets within a 45 minute drive of me:

1. Ellenton Ice and Inline Complex (formerly J.P. Igloo, 2-ice rinks, 1- roller hockey)

2. The Ice Sports Forum in Brandon (T.B. Lightning practice facility, 2-ice rinks)

3. Tampa Bay Skating Academy in Oldsmar (2-ice rinks)

4. Sunblades in Clearwater (1-ice rink)

I go to SW area a lot for business and have been hoping to leave an extra set of equipment down there. Beautiful facility an exit or two from the SW FL International Airport in Ft. Myers, maybe 10-15 minutes from Naples. Used to be the TECO Arena but I think it's now named for another business. Home of the Florida Everblades (ECHL). Three ice surfaces: 2 pretty decent regular ones you'd expect to find, and then the ECHL arena which seats somehting like 7000 and also hosts major concerts and such. Real cool thing is, schedule permitting, you could play at different times on the main arena ice. Three men's divisions and the "A" division is really high class amateur talent; must be lots of former college and top amateurs relocated from northern climes. Pretty good pro-shop as well, although lots of space dedicated to Everblades merchandise. Rink's right off exit that includes FL Gulf Coast Univ. and a large outlet strip mall. With all the building and population boom for the area, the facility is a magnate for almost anything hockey
