Tour shafts

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anybody has ever used and/or still uses Tour shafts, and what do you think of them? Good, bad, mediocre? And why.

Thanks.

haha, weird!

I was just going to post a topic on Tour shafts as well.

I didn't want to use my Easton 'ONE' OPS anymore, so I needed a shaft. My buddy has had a Tour Impulse for a while now, since he got it from free from Dan Constanza of the Tour Mudcats. He has recently switched to a Bauer Vapor XX, so he just GAVE me this shaft to use. I recently fitted it with an Easton focus flex blade, and it's been absolutely amazing. I like the puck feel a lot, and the shaft blade combo seems scary light for what it is.

I haven't got to see the wave series which are their tapered shafts, but I know people love the Tour Beemer 1 piece, and the impulse was pretty popular too. Worth the $80? Don't know. For a little bit more, you could find a Mission L-2 shaft or something.

I don't know how Tour's shafts compare to their OPS Beemer Inferno, but I recently got the Beemer Inferno and it is amazing, I have such a better feel for the puck.

I think the feel may be similar.

Stock-

The shafts are definitely more boxy, but not so much like an ultra-lite. It's squared with very smooth, roundish corners. I haven't had much experience with a vector, so i wouldnt know.

Beat yah to it, eh?

Sounds good. I'm looking to use it outdoor and am wondering what blade I can fit into it. Any ideas?

I was able to get my hands on one as well, but cannot seem to get used to the Modano pattern. I have been using both the Jagr and the Lindros/Recchi for quite some time.

I have both an Ultra Light and the Beemer OPS. The Beemer is definitely not as boxy as the UL.

BTW, the wave shafts arent tapered

hmm, are they like zubbles with that focus flex area in the end then? I don't know why tour would differentiate the 'waves' from the 'straights'

instead of it being one tapered area, it's a wavy look with three or four tapered areas to help it flex better and whip back better.
