TPS R2 shaft ?

Recommended Posts

I want to get a TPS R2 shaft, but am not sure of what flex to get. According to the flex chart here on MSH, the whip flex is = to about a 75 easton flex, and the reg is = 95 easton flex. I like the 85 flex in the easton shaft and currently use that. I have tried 100 flex east shafts and do not like the stiffness. (I have a cyclone that is 95 flex, but don't use it because I like the 85 flex better) On the same lines, I've never used anything below an 85 flex.

Anyone have an opinion on which way I should go?

stiff flex = like 105 ish. so id go with the reg. flex. tps sitcks tend to break in so to speak also. i have a Stiff flex R+ and it feels liek a 90-85 now.

Thanks to your comments, I noticed I did a typo. The description should have said regular flex = 95 easton flex, not the stiff flex = 95 easton.

Thanks for the reply.

I've used a lot of TPS products and I've found the that the shafts tebd to "break in" more than other brands. Assuming you don't break the shaft, an R flex should break in and feel very comfortable to you.

Coming from Easton 85 the TPS regular flex would be your best bet. My whip flex R2 felt like a noodle off the rack. Had to resell it right away. I don´t even want to know how I would have felt after a month.
