CaptainZbubble 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 Littering? If it was on collage campus....your looking at $50 plus $60 sur-charge.Best ticket story ever, pulled over on my ATV by a DEC Cop (Specialty for boats and off road things). Ended up with 3 tickets...Being under 16 (14 at the time) , un-registured + un-insured atv, and then 73 Mph in 45 on a QUAD!. All i haveta say was, if that car didnt cut me off to help the cop i was home free. That cop was PISSED but didnt impound my quad cause my dad talked him outta it...Its a 2003 Yamaha Raptor with big bore kit and full race ready engine, tops out at 97 mph- $465 later I was all set! plus i was 14 so no lisance for points at the time :D -CaptainZbubble

Michael9 57 Report post Posted March 5, 2009 Bringing back an old thread as i got a ticket today, I had to go drop my grandmother off at the airport and then i had hockey practice. It took long to get there than expected, so on the way home I was driving really fast so i could get there in time. The airport is abit over an hour from my house and i had been gunning it the whole way and got caught about 2-3 from the arena. was doing about 140km/h in a 90 zone, and in Quebec if you are caught doing 50km/h over the speed limit you are charged with wreckless driving, you get your liscence suspended, your car towed, loss 10 point, and over 800$ in fines. Anways i get pulled over and the cop says she tagged me doing 130km/h (thank god), but writes 120km in a 90 zone on the ticket. When I got home I realized she made two mistakes in my address, in my town and my postal code... Is it worth contesting?

I dont know the laws in Quebec about contesting speeding tickets, I know I was over the speed limit so is there any reason to contest it.
Archangel#16 1 Report post Posted March 5, 2009 Got my first ticket 2 months ago. Was coming back from a midnight pick up game with a couple of friends in the car. Driving up I-15 doing about 120 mph because we were just a bunch of kids having fun on an open road. So I get pulled over around 1 in the morning and everything suddenly hits me. Im a minor (17 years old) who has had his license for about 5 months, so I'm not allowed to drive passengers under 18 yet. Unfortunately for me, all of my passengers were 17. I've also been told that anything over 100mph in my area is considered felony speeding. The fact that I was out driving after curfew didn't help matters any either. Anyways, I get written up for going 95 in a 70 and given the option of traffic school to clear the record (which i did). So all in all I only paid $419 for that ticket. I am SOOOOOOOO lucky because that officer could have completely screwed me over, but was really nice about it.
