HG is having a clearance. I assume the first link is the '05 model, and the second is the '04 model. I did a search on the topic and someone said they preferred the '05 over the '04 model.

Are there any others that prefer one model over the other?

If so, can I ask why that is your preference?

What are some other pros and cons between these models?

Honestly I reallly dunno...and dont wanna detract from the topic but the Motion Lites were only $99 last night. It was late so I decided to go to sleep and buy them when I wake up, but they were gone....I'm gonna go cry now, lol. I needed some noob pads and there they were cept they gone now.

Nothing to cry about or loose sleep over. The mission motion lites are not even in the same caliber as their high end gear. Unless you are playing the equivalent to street ball hockey I wouldn't recommend them... Even for good roller hockey and definitely for ice you won't want anything other than their high end gear...
