T'blades supporters! Post your opinions here.

I have skated on my tblades for a while now and it seems like they don't get a lot of support. I know there are a lot of people who use them and who love them.. lets hear from you!

I looked for something like this thread for a long time before I purchased my tblades. The general concensus was that "tblades suck".. it seemed like everybody and their dog had something against tblades, but the few people I talked to who actually had them on their boots were in love with them. If you search these forums, you get mostly nay-sayers who have tried them for a few times or have never tried them (but have formed an opinion about them from hear-say or from looks).

I wanted to make a thread for those who have used tblades and like them.. I know youre out there. Speak up.

PLEASE ONLY POSITVE FEEDBACK.. Take your flames to another thread. I want this to be constructive.. not another flame thread that ends up looking like a bunch of pissed off monkeys throwing turds at each other..

I have used tblades for a few months now. I love them. The tend to make a lot of noise when you skate, but that fades with time and when going back to my old CCMs, I noticed that my holders on them made a lot of noise too.. it just blends in better with the general sounds of the rink.

There are endless arguements about how how normal steel is just as sharp, but I can honestly say that I have never felt my runners this sharp. I can dig in deeper in my stops, my crossovers cut deeper, giving me more confidence. There are people out there who will swear up and down that there is no difference and that there is no scientific proof that tblades are sharper.. for those people, I have to laugh at the fact that they love certain sticks over the others.. they are all carbon fiber right?.. what's your scientific evidence that one stick is better than another?..

You go by feel right??.. well, tblades FEEL better to me.

Another big selling point was the fact that I don't have many good places to get my blades sharpened.. and frankly, without a free sharpening a week from my team, im a lazy bastard who would rather skate on dull runners than spend the time to get them sharpened. I feel like I am taking away from the tradition of hockey.. but the only good sharpening I can get is 40 miles away.. and tradition < gas now a days.

I love my tblades, but would go back to steel if I needed to. For now, I will enjoy them.

Well I support t'blades. T'blades are great, but maybe not for everyone (as has been hashed and rehashed on this forum too much).

My opinions, since you want them: t'blade holders have SEVERE problems with durability. There is a good chance (in my experience, I have 2 pairs, the ZG130 and the ZG120) that your holder will not last longer than a pair of stabilizers, or not even as long as a pair of blades. And needless to say, holders are more expensive than stabilizers and certainly more expensive than blades!!! :( Not for the faint of heart!! Just my 2 cents.

The 1100 other t'blades topics weren't good enough for you?

Any and every product will have people who like it and people who don't. If you can't handle people who disagree with your position on a product, that's too bad.
