slapper_snipper_73 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2004 Any one Seen/felt or used one or has one of the Vapor 15 one pieces....?Through the use of ultra premium composite and a solid design, the Vapor XX One Piece Stick is taking the NHL by storm. The new Vapor VII borrows technology from the Vapor XX and brings it into a price range most players can afford. Shaft DesignThe Vapor VII uses a long taper (20 inch) design to create a low kickpoint for accurate powerful shots with an ultra quick release. The shaft uses a double concave design (the flat sides of the shaft are concave) to provide increased leverage between your hands and the shaft for extra power. Bauer has developed a new manufacturing process called Compression RTM that increases fiber content ofr heightened consistency throughout the shaft and a superior strength to weight ration. At an overall weight of 515 grams, the Vapor VII is on par with higher priced sticks like the Vector 110Blade DesignOne of the big secrets to the performance of the Vapor VII is the composite blade. Bauer wanted to create a responsive blade to match the performance of the stick, but not one that would break easily. The resulting design uses Carbon Fiber in the outer 2 layers with a Thermoplastic core. This design produces a blade with Composite performance with hybrid blade durability. On the RinkLet's start with this statement: The Vapor VII is an amazing performer for the price. At under $100, the Vapor VII has the feel and shot of a top-level stick. At 515 grams, it is slightly heavier than a Synergy (455 grams) but is the same weight as the CCM Vector 110. Some of our testers actually liked the slightly heavier feel - especially for slapshots and for receiving passes. Where the Vapor VII definitely shone was in the durability department. While a lot of sticks these days are getting bad marks for durability, the Vapor VII came through all our test games and practices unscathed. The feel is very good and the shot release is very quick. If you are looking for a One Piece Stick that performs like the top level sticks, lasts longer and costs less - this is the stick for you.
