Under Armour

It costs just as much as all the nike dry-fit stuff. They both do the same thing so decide for yourself which you want to buy.

It works but if the price is too much there are quite a few alternatives since everyone and their brother has started making those kinds of shirts. Some places may have the older Nike dri-fits reduced so you could try a Sports Authority or Academy sports.

Staying warm during games? Damn, that's insane. The rink I'm skating in now is hot as hell. You sweat buckets just sitting on the bench. Kind of funny b/c the other rink I played in this year had lockers that felt like you were getting dressed outside.

I've been using the WSI long sleeve under shirt for the last 3 months and its been great. Keeps me at normal body temp. I'm not hot, but i'm not drenched in sweat freezing either. So, it was definatley worth the money. I think i paid $40 for it, but like others mentioned, the market seems to be getting much for competetive for under gear, so you can probably find something cheaper.

The "outlet" stores here are usually just luring tourists in to buy overpriced old crap. They're maybe $5 cheaper than what a regular store would charge. Unless you're looking for that rare K-State hat or an old Mars Blackmon shirt it's just not worth it to go to them.

I thought I'd drop in the local Nike outlet to look for some Dri-Fit once and it was acutally more expensive then the online price by $5.

NikeTown is killer, too bad they don't have hockey in the one up in Portland. However, the employee store up in Portland is sick, I got to go there a few years ago, right when Nike was starting up with hockey and I got a Russian Olympic jersey for like $10, and the new Nike skates, the white ones (I forget what they were called) were only like $100.

I switched for a long sleeve cotton t shirt to the loose fit long sleeve Under Armour about a year ago . By the end of a game the cotton shirt would weigh a ton because of all the sweat it absorbed. The Under Armour is always dry. It holds up well too.

I also have a pair of Nike dry fit pants that I wear instead of socks when I play goalie. It's the same material. Find the best priced brand and go with it. What I am surprised with is the durability of the material.
