Glove insert

I have a pair of TPS gloves and it came with a removable thumb insert. I took the insert out and thought it felt better because I could move my thumb and index finger much better but I was wondering if this insert is important and if there is any decrese in protection when you take it out or if there is any other reason that I should leave it in.

I asked a similar question here when I was using the TPS gloves too. Its a personal choice, but if you fall or get hit, the insert will stop your thumb from flexing back too far.

I took mine out and much preferred them.

Then changed to CCM vectors, and much prefer those now
